GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) is an agency committed to providing a safe, high-quality, and efficient transportation system for the State of Wyoming. WYDOT is currently seeking a Traffic Electrical Technician in Rock Springs, Wyoming, to assist the traffic department in highway maintenance, electrical sign installations, and repairs for District 3.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function that may be performed at the job level.
Assist traffic crews with general maintenance operations.
Maintain and operate complex equipment safely and proficiently.
Under limited supervision, may flag traffic and set up traffic control devices.
Subject to a 24-hour call-out in the event of an emergency.
May be reassigned to other crews as necessary.
Qualifications
PREFERENCES/**AGENCY REQUIREMENTS:
These are temporary positions that require no prior training or experience.
**Must have a valid Driver's license.
KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of basic computer skills.
Knowledge of and use of power tools and tape measures.
Knowledge of Federal and State requirements for the proper use of personal protective equipment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Necessary Special Requirements
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
Must be able to travel extensively within the district.
Subject to 24-hour call-out in the event of an emergency.
NOTES:

Individuals in this classification will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing
