Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Associate to join a dynamic Labor & Delivery team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in patient care, phlebotomy, and EKGs, and thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Measure vital signs, collect specimens, and assist during examinations
Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and basic first aid procedures
Prepare and maintain exam rooms and medical equipment
Support nursing staff with daily patient care activities
Maintain accurate patient records and assist with appointment scheduling
Provide guidance and support to patients and families
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery
High school diploma or GED
AHA BLS certification (required)
NYS-approved Phlebotomy and EKG training
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
