Role Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and results-driven professional to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in Annual Operating Plan (AOP) creation, performance tracking, financial analysis, product pricing, costing and business modeling. This role requires close coordination with cross-functional teams and provides strategic financial insights to internal leadership and investors.
Key Responsibilities
- AOP Creation: Develop comprehensive Annual Operating Plans (AOP) for internal stakeholders, the Board, and investors.
- AOP Monitoring & Variance Analysis: Track monthly performance against the approved AOP, analyze variances across revenue, expenses, and projections, and report mitigation plans.
- Project Costing & Cost Benchmarking: Monitor and track financials for various projects; work with vendors to benchmark costs effectively.
- Product Pricing & Business Modeling: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product pricing decisions and build financial models for existing and new business lines.
- MIS Reporting: Prepare and publish detailed Business MIS and Investor MIS, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and performance insights on key KPIs.
- Productivity Tracking: Track productivity metrics across different projects and teams to support performance improvement initiatives.
- Dashboard Creation & Automation: Build and automate dashboards and reports for ad hoc business requirements and ongoing monitoring.
- Cash Flow Management: Assist in monitoring and managing company cash flows, ensuring alignment with financial strategy.
- Commercial Negotiations: Support commercial negotiations with vendors and partners to ensure financial viability and alignment with business goals.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: CA (First Attempt preferred) or MBA in Finance from a reputed institute
- Experience: 6- 7 years of relevant experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Management Information Systems (MIS)
- Industry Preference: Prior experience in startups/Saas startups and tech driven environments preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail
- Proficiency in financial modelling, budgeting, and variance analysis
- Demonstrated ability to work with large datasets and drive automation in reporting processes
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Proactive, self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
