Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.
High School Diploma/ GED
1-2 years min. experience in office environment
Proficiency with various software and productivity tools (MS Office applications, Adobe, copier, scanner, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using Texas State enterprise software (i.e., SAP , Oracle, Banner, etc.).
Website development and maintenance.
Knowledge of and experience supporting academic department
Knowledge of University policies and procedures.
Experience in an administrative office setting.
Excellent attendance and punctuality.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with faculty and students.
Demonstrated ability to organize and implement events.
Job Description
The Administrative Assistant II provides administrative and general clerical support to the management and staff within the Chemistry & Biochemistry Department.
Job Duties
Support to the doctoral and masters programs.
Provide support to students, faculty and staff.
Plan events.
Scheduling classes and managing overrides.
Organize prospective student visits, assist program directors & advisors with managing student data.
Update brochures and website.
Perform other short-term projects as assigned by program staff, departmental management and staff.
